Day 1 - ARRIVAL IN SHIMLA
Your bike trip for Lahaul and Spiti Valley starts with your arrival in Shimla, which is popularly known as the 'Queen of Hills Stations'. This erstwhile summer capital for the British is encompassed by deodar and pine forests. On your arrival in Shimla, our tour representative will meet you and assist you to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and unwind. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. In the evening, you can visit Mall Road and Ridge for shopping or enjoy the scenic vistas. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel and have a sound sleep in your room.
Day 2 - SHIMLA - SARAHAN
Arise to a hearty meal and then you will get your bikes. In a brief meeting, the tour guide will introduce you to all the rules of driving in India. Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your motorbike ride to Sarahan, which is a quaint village. This former summer capital of Bushahr Kingdom is renowned for its striking architectural marvels. From there you can enjoy the enchanting view of the Srikhand Mahadev Peak. On arrival in Sarahan, you will head towards the accommodation and check-in at the pre-booked guest house. Spend the rest of the time at your wish. You can take a stroll in the village and soak in the serene aura of this tranquil place. Savor a delectable dinner at your stay and have a restful sleep for the night.
Day 3 - SARAHAN - SANGLA (107 KM / ABOUT 4 HRS RIDE)
On the 3rd day of the tour, have your breakfast, and then head towards the sightseeing tour of the village. Visit the Bhimakali Temple, which is being constructed in a typical Kinnauri style with stone and timber layering. This temple was originally built in the 12th century. Seek blessings at the temple and then head towards the hotel to complete the check-out formalities. Later, start your tour for Sangla. Enjoy the scenic vistas en route. Sangla is nestled on the bank of the Baspa River, owing to the name of the river, the valley is also known as Baspa Valley. On arrival, check-in at the guest house and relax for a while. Afterward, visit the Kamru Village, which is the original capital of Bushahr kingdom. Head towards the Kamru Fort, which is renowned for its notable tower-style architecture. The fort complex comprises a temple, dedicated to Kamakhya Devi. Offer prayers at the temple, witness the majestic view of the valley from the fort and then return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at the guest house in Sangla.
Day 4 - SANGLA - KALPA (55 KM / 2 HRS. RIDE)
Wake up to a healthy breakfast and enchanting views. Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and hit the road to visit Kalpa, which is one of the largest and most beautiful hamlets in the Kinnaur region. On arrival, check-in at the guest house and relax for a while. Thereafter, head for the sightseeing tour of the village. Admire the mesmerizing view of Kinner Kailash Peak while taking a stroll. Visit the Buddhist Hu-Bu-Lan-Khar Gompa, Durga Temple that comprises the tower-style architecture, and Narayan Nagini Hindu Temple. Marvel at the architectural beauty of these temples and enjoy the breathtaking view of the valley. Return to the guest house in the evening. Enjoy lip-smacking dinner and then retire for the day.
Day 5 - KALPA - TABO
After having a scrumptious breakfast complete the check-out formalities and ride towards Tabo, which is situated at an altitude of 3,050 m above sea level. Nestled on the bank of the Spiti River, Tabo is a pristine town located amidst the mighty Himalayas. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery en route while riding your bike on the winding roads. On your arrival in Tabo, you will be assisted towards the pre-booked campsite. Check-in at the camp and unwind. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. You can take a stroll to the nearby places and explore the village on your own. Return to the camp for overnight stay.
Day 6 - TABO - KAZA
Wake up to a beautiful day and have a delicious breakfast. Then, head towards the Tabo Monastery, which is renowned as the Ajanta of the Himalayas. This is among the significant monasteries of the region that was erected in 996 AD. This is the largest monastery complex in Spiti Valley. After admiring the magnificence of the monastery, begin driving to Kaza. Perched at an altitude of 3,600 m above sea level, Kaza is located on the left bank of the Spiti River. En route, take a halt at Dhankar Monastery, which was built in the 16th century and originally used as a prison. There is a new monastery located just below the old one. The next halt is at the Pin Valley, situated below the Kungri Glacier. This valley is a paradise for nature lovers and trekkers. Later, continue to Kaza. On arrival, you will be assisted towards the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and relax. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can explore this idyllic town and visit the monastery situated near the bus stand. You can also explore the market of Kaza and interact with locals.
